I was just so happy to be online I had to let everyone know!  I'll hopefully figure out how to load pictures onto this computer (keep your fingers crossed)!

Time for change!

I can't believe how quickly time has flown by!!!! April has snuck up on us.
Tuesday was the official last day of class at BYU!!!! I was sooooo happy. I refused to do any studying because I was too busy celebrating. I know JT was glad to have all the deadlines behind us.

Thursday I had a tooth pulled. We found out that my mouth has some major issues that are going to require braces for up to 3 years! YIKES! They promised me that in the end I would look like a movie star though. Ha. I think that come the Fall when I need a molar and a wisdom tooth pulled, I'll go with my dentist instead of an oral surgeon. The dentists is used to having people awake and being gentler. Oh my. For whatever reason, vicoden isn't strong enough for me. So they gave me percocet. WOW that stuff is strong. Less than 24 hours after my "oral surgery", I had a Pearl of Great Price final. PLUS...9 am that morning I had to go into the orthodontist's office to cast a mold for my retainer. My mouth wasn't happy.

I placed a fervent phone call to my professor begging him to let me take the exam on Saturday (I was sure the pain would have worn off by then). I explained that the percocet made me woozy and that if required to take the exam that day, I would not be able to take my medicine. Pain+exam=bad. But, percocet+exam=WORSE grade. He called me back (he was almost jolly!) and told me that the only other option I had was to take it with a different class section on Wednesday. SOLD.
Between Monday and Wednesday I now have 4 exams to take! We'll see how I do.

Today is Saturday and it's JT's last day working at Wells Fargo!!! They've worked him like crazy this week with a schedule of +40 hours! They told him he wouldn't be getting a goodbye cake though because he was really coming back in the Fall. He was a little disappointed. Maybe I'll make him a cake tonight. Hmmmm...
It is now official: Wednesday at 2pm we will be leaving for Arkansas!!!! It's a +24 hour car ride, but we're spreading it out over the course of a few days. We will be driving through Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and on to Arkansas! JT and I have a goal of a 100% healthy lifestyle for the summer. A fresh start is the perfect time! Being paranoid, I've already checked the weather forecast for tornadoes. We are traveling at the very start of tornado season. I've done ALL my researching and found out that if no building is nearby for cover, we're supposed to get out of the car and lie in a ditch with a mattress over us. SERIOUSLY?!?! We'll see. Arkansas better be worth it! ;)

Easter Saturday Fun

You'll have to forgive us for not having a multitude of pictures and video from Easter. They all somehow got erased off of our camera. All we've got are what Christina took and what I had on my phone. Bummer.
Saturday we invited the Magleby's over for an Easter egg hunt! Thrilled that they said yes, we took off for Walmart (VERY last minute shoppers) because Uncle JT had to have the latest and greatest for his favorite nephew. We then rushed home to get everything set up before they got here! Once everything was ready, the cat decided that the eggs were fun play toys! She kicked them around and did somersaults with them.

When they arrived Zach was a little unsure about the situation at first. But once he found out that the eggs were filled with 3 Musketeer bars he got into it!
JT was really happy that he also seemed to like his tool set! The blue grass from his basket was also an added bonus. We lost video of him playing and giggling with it.
After all that excitement we pulled out the egg coloring kit! Zach was soooo cute! We've never had so much fun coloring eggs. Everytime we'd ask what color to dip the egg in he'd say "blooooo!" After we finished with the egg coloring, Zach decided that they were balls instead of eggs. They all got cracked except for one!

We put on "Cars"...but tried to put it on halfway through. We didn't want to force Christina and Joe to suffer through the whole thing twice in one day! Zach would watch, walk around, play with JT, and find different places to sit. He's such a cutie.

After they left we hung out a little bit and then decided to go out for dinner. We figured sinceit was Easter weekend, we should probably choose something at least remotely close to what Christ would have eaten. Being in Provo, the closest we got was the Bombay House. This was no travesty though...the Bombay House is 5 star Indian cuisine. I was really excited because I LOVE it. We had lamb and some sort of flat bread. Waaaaay good.

We got more bounce in California....

While the rest of the world converged on Utah for General Conference weekend--JT, Snickers, Mija and I headed to California! I don't think we've ever been so sleep deprived on such a busy schedule before. We loved every minute of it! We were sad to have had such a short stay. We didn't even get to visit JT's grandparents in Murrieta! That was the worst part of it. Within the strict confines of Riverside, JT and I found more than enough to keep ourselves busy.
We visited Lita and Lito's house! My siblings and the Michael Meza family was there. The boys had a lot of fun with the dogs.

We also got to go to Jose's with the Trout family! Way good food. We had a lot of fun talking and I managed not to hit on anyone (inside joke)! Oh and kids, don't play with butter knifes. I am a horrible example that would make every parent cry. I think our antics bored Nathan.

We spent some time with my family at their house. Mija had a LOT of fun playing with Hunter. They wrestled all over the place! They were both absolutely covered in each other's slobber!

We dragged ourselves out of bed Sunday morning for conference and tried to get over to the Trout house as quickly as possible. There was yummy homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast!

*quick note: I don't know why we didn't have the presence of mind to pack a camera when Mike took us shooting EARLY Saturday morning. It was soo much fun! I tried my best to remember the safety rules but had one goof up and one almost. It seems I still have things to learn.... I was really grateful that Mike and JT trusted me enough to even take me out there.

After the morning session, JT and I headed over to the Fernandez's house for the afternoon session and family time. We had a really good time!

After our goodbyes it was time to go back home to Utah!

Anniversary Part II

This year on our anniversary we decided to mix things up! Jonathan brought me Carls JR. for breakfast and a beautiful floral arrangement (appropriately yellow and orange)! It was yummy.

I apologized for having homework on our anniversary and dragged JT to an oboe recital at BYU. It was interesting but definitely not in my top 5 performance list.

Afterwards we headed out to D.I. to pick up some play clothes! We planned on getting dirty at the Holi Festival of Colors and didn't want to end up throwing away nice clothes. We had a lot of fun walking around. I couldn't believe that it was JT's first time going to D.I.! He saw a few things he liked. I think we'll be going back soon. Once we had our clothes and shoes picked out (total of $15 for 2 outfits!) we headed back home to change and take off for Spanish Fork!

The freeway was PACKED! It looked like all of Provo was on its way to the festival. I was glad that we checked the website--it told us to bypass the first exit and to take the second. There was a huge line of cars waiting to get off on the first exit. We found the Hari Krishna temple and parked in the parking lot. Hundreds of cars parked far down the street because they assumed all the parking spots would be gone! Silly people. Once there, the first thing we did was to get in line for colors and to look around.

We also played with the llamas! I named mine Larry. He didn't like to be touched.

We walked around taking in the sights and even took off our shoes to join in some dancing!
Then it was time to light the bonfire and throw the colors!

JT and I kind of attacked each other......

Then Jonathan decided it would be a good idea to get on the roof.

The band got going and the party got underway.

We headed back up to the car. Our tummies were hungry and we knew it was going to take a bit to dust ourselves off.

We had dinner at Red Robin and enjoyed a peaceful night of sleep! Awesome day!
